The Young Ones

So I had a bit of an idea tonight… the youngest has been somewhat obsessed with the new darkroom and is curous about what it is all about. So I have just bought him a REALLY cheap wee camera from Analogue Wonderland, along with a couple of rolls of 24 exposure Kentmere 400 - the whole lot probably cost as much as a couple of disposable cameras! I am going to let him loose to photograph things, maybe go for a walk and shoot, then we will develop the films together and do some prints too! He can then take these in to Show and Tell when they are back at school as something a bit different! I got a big box of 5×7 Kentmere VC paper (because the Ilford stuff was twice the price), and I even got a set of teeny trays to develop the photographs traditionally - I don’t have room for normal size, but I think watching the image emerge is part of the beauty in the early days!

If we get some success I will put something up here… I may even make a video as I start trying to do “content” again!

Work is very quiet at the moment, so this may give me something to occupy myself with next week should things stay like this!
