Fisherman’s Blues
It’s a bit of a guilty secret of mine… not so secret now I guess… but I have always had a bit of a soft spot for The Waterboys.
Anyway - today I was out on the Black Isle on a non-stop charge about the place again! A couple of big jobs (one I had marked down as a small job… so that scuppered my timings somewhat) and a wee one to round off the day as a third. The light was good for the first, which was critical, and then I grabbed a minute with the last bit of brightness ebbing from the sky to photograph the village of Avoch.
I love stopping here and grabbing some frames when passing. It is a place that I just love to share - the old fishermans cottages which line the foreshore are evocative of past times. The modern builds up the hill somewhat detract from the atmosphere of the place so I tend to avoid those when I can and concentrate on the characterful homes along the front instead.
Tomorrow I have a quiet day, then it looks like I am off to SNAP on Saturday to do some networking.
