Damage Done

Today I had a bit of a disaster in the dark room. Again. This time a film tore as I spooled it onto a… well… spool. I managed to salvage most of the film, but whilst another was in the process of drying I thought I would have an attempt at printing the damaged frame - just out of curiosity.

And I really like it!

Street photography is not my thing - I have dabbled occasionally, but it just really isn’t something that I do much of - so finding that I have taken something I rather enjoy is nice… although I suspect it has more to do with the damage to the negative and a kind of make to and mend approach that appeals to me. Somewhat like the Japanese art of repair using gold! Kinda.
