Partial Eclipse of the Heart

Yes… it was a bit of a let down tonight. The cloud bank rolled in just before the show started and that was, more or less, that. Except for a brief, very brief, break in the cloud right at the maximum so we got to see something through the cloud.

The day was largely composed of dropping the car in to Elgin for the wheel to get refurbished (at oh my God it’s early o’clock), followed by some electricianing… hot tub building… and an attempt at converting the Bronica to shoot 35mm panoramics. Attempt being the operative word - it was a failure as my smallest screwdriver was considerably too big for the job in hand. Or at least the second part of the job at hand. So a set of watch maker screwdrivers were ordered and hopefully the job can be completed tomorrow.

The hot tub was also a partial failure - it is built, the electrics are sorted, it is full of water… but the internet suggestion that it heats up in a couple of hours was considerably wide of the mark. Also - my box of chlorine from the old Softub - seems to have been binned (by me) so I can’t dose it! The fresh is also arriving tomorrow so I can get that done - it isn’t warm enough to dose yet anyway mind!

No work today - but I will be making up for that tomorrow and Friday!
