Mellow Yellow
Today’s photograph is my latest attempt at this stand of Scots Pines that are situated between Inverness and Nairn on the A86. They are a tricky subject to photograph, being on the main road to Aberdeen - and on the wrong side of the road… with few places to pull over available! In the past I have resorted to a drone - but this time it was a long lens and a bit of praying! It’s not quite where I want it yet though… but it is starting to show me a direction!
Now - I really REALLY want to shoot this on a GFX is XPan format on a telephoto with some fantastic, striking, storm light. That is the dream… however the light is hard to come by and I have neither that camera or lens (yet), so I can see this could become a long term project over the next few years!
Anyway, a good and productive, start to the working week which is truncated by both the Bank Holiday yesterday and then an in-service day at the schools on Thursday for the elections… it’s looking pretty positive though and I am booking up into next week already. Just as well though, as our water system is needing some rather expensive repairs and they need financing somehow!
