Micro Hairs
Today I have been plagued my tiny hairs - or fillaments perhaps. One was stuck to the inside surface of my wide lens, almost imperceptable to the naked eye… but alas all to evident to a sensor with the lens stopped down to f8. It has taken hours to clean up the day’s shoot as a result! If it had been artsy work it wouldn’t have been quite such an issue as I would have cleaned up one or two - or chalked it up for a reshoot. But on commercial work… there were a lot of frames needing a lot of work. They look good now though and are uploading gone midnight.
Today has been hectic, a bit stressful and a minor disaster to contend with beyond said hair. Not a major disaster, but a slight derailment that means my second job of the day has become a tomorrow job, robbing me of a day off! It also forced me to abandon any thoughts of RNLI training tonight… but we got there in the end with the job done and dusted.
The house itself is straight into my top 10 of favourite places I have photographed too. It was lovely… I would live there in a shot, even if it is so close to a statue of the most villified man in northern Scotland and amongst those cleared from the lands to make way for sheep.
