Content Creator?

This week has been a bit of a tough one, mentally, for me. It hasn’t been a bad week… but it left me questioning where I thought I was and where I thought I was going. So much so that it reminded me of my whole purpose, why I set off to do this in the first place - become a full time photographer - and commercial work, whilst I enjoy it - wasn’t the actual aim. Although it is a good companion to what I am driving towards - art.

So this is my new plan - I want to explore the art side of photography whilst also creating something else - or at least some video content to go alongside what I am shooting. These will be on a variety of formats - shorts and reals on social media platforms and longer form pieces on YouTube which I want to be almost moving landscape photography in concept with a bit of chatting about what it is I am doing, seeing and exploring.

Next week the boys are off so I will be doing a little more planning, but the idea is to follow the clearances in Sutherland from settlement remains to replacement villages to start with. I may concentrate on a few of the glens/straths to start with rather than a complete shotgun approach, and see how it goes. I would love there to be a book and exhibition in this too….

What this all has to do with today’s photo of a chicken… I have no idea!
