The Dangers of Luminar

Or… what you see is not what you get!

Today I was doing a quick job out on the Black Isle and came past a scene that I have been meaning to revisit and shoot for some time, I wasn’t convinced there was anything really there to create a photograph from… but sent the drone over for a quick recce.

As I was sorting out my work - and browing the web at the same time - a few heavily edited photos popped up by a particular “photographer” (and I put that in inverted commas because once you go beyond a certain point with editing it is no longer photography per se, but more of a collage) and I thought… how long would it take me to do that? It’s obviously been worked over in a package called Luminar, which I use for some tricky edits, so I popped this mornings drab photo in and… lo and behold….
