Bring the Noise

I made a new section for this website last night, as you may have noticed. Reviews. At the moment it just has a couple of first impressions in there, but my plan is to go through the kit that I use as well as the chemicals, processes, print studios… anything and everything that I try and how it works for me. Or not. This may not be of much interest to many, but it is useful for me to be able to look back over what I have tried with and without success so that I can hone in on products that really fit my vision. It may be of use to others looking into photography too, and there is going to be a strong focus on analogue in this section.

Anyway, today I have been living my best rock and roll lifestyle with a trip to the tip in Dingwall to drop off a car full (and I do mean FULL) of boxes and packaging which has been building up around the house and garden for the last few months. There will be more soon as we are about to embark on a room-by-room tidy up and redesign! I made a start on this with the utility room as it was to become my darkroom, but next up is the biggest challenge of all - the downstairs living space - which has become something of a midden! This is going to be converted into a gym, there is a rowing machine in a box waiting already with a matching bike and treadmill enroute right now. I will probably add some kind of weights too at some point, but first will be a grand empty out followed by the building of a storeage solution along one wall. I would paint it too, but I need a scaffold for that as it is a double height room - it would be nice though… I could then fit blinds to the skylights to help keep some heat in and reduce heating bills!

Tomorrow is looking good though and I hope that we will get out on a mini adventure!
