I Won’t Back Down

This shouldn’t really need to be said… should it? I am a crew member in the RNLI - we rescue anyone in need, when that pager goes off we respond, because life matters and the preservation of life is paramount. The fact that some people in this union of nations would rather see bodies wash up on the shore than be brought to safety greatly saddens me.

Last night the pager went off, and we responded. It turned into a non-event which is the absolute BEST outcome, and yes - it was a late one, but that doesn’t matter. We all answer that call, and I will make no apology for that. I have suffered loss in my life which has impacted me considerably and I would hate for that to happen to anyone else when I could do anything to prevent it.

For now, a photo taken on my trip up to Invergordon today. I wanted to shoot more, but circumstances had other plans.
