The month is all but done and I am… kinda… on top of things! It hasn’t been the best of months, as I have mentioned, but okayish so I can live with that!
I am busy working on my series at the moment - refining the ideas, and starting to really focus in on locations. I have a list starting to form and will hopefully get them all mapped over the weekend to begin putting a plan together - which may fit in as I have a job up in Keiss to get to a week on Monday which will hopefully give me a slight opportunity for at least a recce of something!
I am trying to refine a couple of choices on film and developer which is really down to a couple of ideas on both - T-Max 100 and 400 vs Delta 100 and 400 on the film front. Developer I am toying with possibly Pyro, but I am really liking some of the results I have had from XTOL of late so may go that way - which is considerably more eco-friendly as well, which is important to me…. I have a workshop on Pyro next weekend so hopefully that will push me one way or the other, and I have a box of T-Max 400 to run through to decide if I want to go back to my roots or stick with Ilford (I forgot I loved T-Max back in the 80’s/90’s until recently).
Last night I went down a rabbit hole looking at conservation mounting. There is a strong temptation to mount in solid black mounts, but that could be a bit severe… it is going to be worth at least an experiment though!
