Done with the Down
So March is done… and with it I am going to (attempt) to move on from my feelings of betrayal from being unceremoniously dropped by a client. No warning, infact they still haven’t actually said anything to me directly… sorry… starting to get a bit ranty again! To be fair - it turned my professional life upside down so I probably deserve to feel a little aggrieved still.
But tomorrow I wake up to April and a whole new set of challenges and opportunities await. I am going to try and put this set back behind me and use it as a learning experience to grow. So no more talk of it.
Well - not much - I am in the middle of putting together a video catch up of what I have been up to and doing over the last few months in an attempt to get a regular video update schedule up and running. Why am I doing this? I see video as a big thing and a place where there is both work to be had, but also promotion of my more artsy stuff… and that means promoting myself. Which I am absolutely terrible at. Apparently this is a good means to get people looking at your work though so that is what I am going to do.
No… I am not becoming an influencer in any way, shape or form! It’s going to probably be a bit about my commercial work, a bit about my art work and a bit about where I am and where I am going physically, artistically and probably mentally! It’s a way to share what I do, what makes me tick and what I think can bring joy or interest to a wider world. Maybe not that wide a world mind… but you know what I mean!
Anyway - today’s photo is another triumph as it is Hamish’s self portrait that was up in school today as we went to see both him and Lachlan playing in the Easter concert. I think it’s great… it is a strikingly good likeness too, so much so that there was no doubt as to which portrait was his!
