Over Zealous… Or Overconfident!
Today I popped over to Invergordon for a “quick” photoshoot that turned out to be anything but! I knew it was a large property, but once I got inside I realised the scale of the task at hand!
The photographs that are currently being used are not the best. They are okay… functional… kind of do the job in a documentary kind of way, but they don’t really convey either the scale or character of the property - which is very much my “thing”, so off I went to try and prove my worth.
The externals I had more or less in the bag from earlier in the month - certianly all the drone shots, which was just as well as it was blowing a hoolie! The drone was grounded - but the stills and video inside were still to tackle. The stills are easy, albeit there are 70 or so to work through, the video… that is something else. I decided to go big and use the Z6II on a gimbal, my arms are now aching and the footage is in a first draft of edit. I think I could do a lot better, but the property was a bit dark and so large that I didn’t really have the time to spend on each section that I would like. I will try and pop it up sometime in the next few days though!
Then home, a little bit of prep work for the edit, then school run… school presentation… tea… and a bit more editing to get that first rough cut of the video done.
And now bed.
But here is Haggis the Cat for today’s photo.
