The notice came out today for one of the groups I am in… advertising the 2027 Photo a Day project… which will be my 17th consecutive year of taking and posting a photograph every single day. Through some hard times as well as the good. Some very hard times. The whole project started because someone suggested it as a bit of a mental health tonic after what was the worst of times I have had to live through and emerge from (although emerge sounds like those wounds have healed, which would be far from the truth… just dulled).
This whole project has slowly morphed into a bit of a photo diary - it always was really, but the words have gone from a basic “this is where I have been today” to something more of a thoughts, plans and musings along with where I happen to find myself!
So today… today the weather was a bit flat. It was lovely in Drumnadrochit as I left, but I ran straight into the Haar and that was, pretty much, that for the day. I decided to take a little break to see if it would lift enough to get at least one of the drone jobs ticked off having seen a bridge in a woodland, not on the road, and with a name. These can prove quite interesting - and Greystone Bridge lives up to that belief and then some. I can’t find any details about this particular structure though, other than the fact it sits in Cawdor Castle’s grounds and crosses Auchindoune Burn.
