The Weekend Slips Into View

So that is the week done, and it’s been pretty good… very good really considering the time of year and the fact the weather has been pretty flat! As a bonus it sounds like I may be seeing more work out west coming in heading forward, which is something I have really been craving for some time! This, incidentally, may expedite the requirement to upgrade my EV to something a wee bit more leggy as it is a challenge heading to some of these remote locations and back on a charge. With EVs getting more popular with our visitors to the Highlands it is starting to get a little challenging finding a charger that someone isn’t camped on (the fines for overstaying 45 minutes don’t seem to be a factor to this user group!)

Next week is currently not overly busy, I have a couple of little video jobs and a floorplan/siteplan at the end of the week, hopefully some work will come in that I can get my teeth into a little more either later today or early in the week! I am not fretting too much though as the second half of the month could see things really ramp up as we move towards Spring. There is also an element, I suspect, of people holding off as the schools have a peedie break the week after next (Monday - Wednesday off) which often holds people back on instructing.

I have, as you probably know from my complaining, been struggling with injured feet since early January. Yesterday a pair of wide-fit Merrel shoes arrives… what a revalation! They are so wide even I, with my stupidly broad paws, can wiggle my toes about in these things. They have high volume as well so no pressure across the top of my foot - I have thrown in some Superfeet Green (Wide) insoles and hope that this is going to finally allow everything to settle down and heal up. I need to accept that my old shoes are all worn out I think and have a good clear out now!

As a bonus - I finally managed to tick a photograph off my list that has been waiting for a while. I just thought I would share this - it’s still a bit of a work in progress and a place I want to go back to and work a little more - but this is a good starting point!
