Working Man
It’s been a good day - not too busy, not too quiet - two main shoots and a little one sandwiched between which makes it a productive day without a stupidly late finish! It helps that the PC is now behaving itself following the extensive rebuild at the weekend which has speeded up my workflow in one respect… although slowed it down a little at the same time as with it working properly I have switched back to a better shooting and editing technique which takes more input from me but provides MUCH better results.
So I am very happy with today’s work!
I have a couple of little, super basic, cameras arrived which we are going to take out for a walk with Angus at the weekend, hopefully, so he can shoot a roll of 35mm film and then we can process it together next week and do some printing. I think this will be fun for him, and he has been very curious about the darkroom! He only gets 24 shots and no screen so this is going to be a very different experience for the digital generation! I am hoping that we can get enough good photographs out of the roll, and a second roll that Jen will shoot… plus I will take a roll in something - probably the Minolta which is not much more advanced, but I may go with the OM-2n instead and see if there is anything a bit more interesting to shoot! We shall see… anyway… if we get enough decent photographs then we can build a concertina book that he can take into school for Show and Tell - which I think he would enjoy!
