All in Ruins

Today has been a nice slow, quiet kind of a day - which I needed after the full on character of last week… and to be honest, this week is not looking any slower! My new drone controller arrived though so I popped the UAV up for a quick spin just to test connectivity, functionality and the feel of the new controller before using it in anger tomorrow. The sun was actually shining too, briefly, which makes a nice change from the dreary photos of late! Otherwise the morning was spent sorting out some of the kit into new cases and reducing the weight and bulk of my main working backpack substantially! It now just houses the essentials I need for the majority of the jobs, the more specialist stuff lives in a seperate case, the remaining camera cube is going to house some analogue equipment. There was a little pouch too, but that is a bit tight for the “compact” camera so is going to be the home of spare film mostly - at least for the moment.

This is the last week of the school holidays and so there is going to be a degree of getting ourselves ready for the return to school a week on Wednesday.
